I don't think he'd buy the bike to remove the rake kit.

For the price, I think you'd be getting an exceptional deal. I paid 3K for mine, same year, same miles.

For the price, I'd almost buy it myself just to find out how it handles.

That bike seems to be a real bargain, but I wouldn't buy it just because it has the rake kit. I'd rather buy a completely stock unmolested bike and go from there.

What if I got it for 2200 and sold it for 3500?

Or got it for 2200 and then returned it to stock (I have the parts already) and sold it for 3k and then sold the kit for 1k and the fwd controls for about 250? lol. Would that work?

Rained like heck monday so put off til tuesday.. then I got caught up in things n couldn't make it out so put on for today but then he hada do stuff n couldn't plus it started raining again.. so hoping for tomorrow. lol.

The Seeger chopper kit runs about 1600 - 1700 bucks plus the Seeger fwd controls are another 700 bucks.. I'd be getting the bike for free plus at that price.

Mike Chambers over on IA has a raked bike also. Prolly the same kit. It sure is sweet and he says it handles real nice too.
I don't know, I've never ridden a raked bike, so I have no experience with them. I don't think I'd do anything to the bike besides either keep it if I like how it handles, or just flip it if I didn't. Seems a waste to do anything to it considering how nice it looks from what we can see. Of course, I'm partial to that particular color as it's the same as mine. It's real nice to see how mine would look raked out.

Well now that's a good question. When I bought mine, it was at the end of 2010, but I didn't take delivery of it until 2011, I think it was mid January. At the time, it had 10,024 miles on it and a very few small minor blemishes on it. Looked garage kept but the chrome on the triple tree was bubbling in spots and the windshield was well, not great. As I said, I paypal'd the dude $3k for it. So yeah, it was a couple years ago and it might have been worth a little more in those days, but I still feel as though I got a good deal.

In all honesty, I'm not sure what I could get for it. I know it ain't worth shit for a down payment on a new bike, so it's only worth it to either keep it and run it into the ground or sell on ebay again or craigs list. I'd probably still ask to get 3K out of it because of the extras I've spent on it, but if no one nibbled at that price, oh well, I guess.

Now that one you're looking at, if it's as sharp looking as I think is might be, from what I can tell, I'd be asking for more because you do want to get some money back out of it. I mean, the guy that's selling it is either clueless or is just hard up for the cash. If he's clueless, it probably means he bought it and doesn't like it, so he's just trying to get rid of it fast with just looking online to see what the going price is. CHECK the title, see if he's the registered owner and all that crap. Ask questions, why selling, whats wrong? that sort of thing.

If it were me trying to sell it, I'd be asking 4k or more, IF IT'S CHERRY.
