I guess you know that the speedo will be even farther off, right?

Not quite right...Blaine wrote:Nope.....Tire is same height......just 10mm narrower.....Sidewall is same.WintrSol wrote:I guess you know that the speedo will be even farther off, right?
110/90/19 is 110 mm wide, 90% aspect ratio high (= 99mm) on a 19" rim
100/90/19 is 100 mm wide, 90% aspect ratio high (=90mm) on a 19" rim
That is a 9mm difference per tire. Or about between 3/8" and 5/16".
Negligible, but different. The speedo would be off slightly.
Just my 2 cents...
Ride safe.

Re: Front tire size
And that is 9mm in radius; net change in speedometer (assuming the same profile tire), would be an increase of almost 3%. So, if it currently reads 62mph at a true speed of 60, it will change to about 64mph.

Re: Front tire size
Got busy and totally missed this one. Correct, not the same diameter.
But who cares about the speedo. Slap one on that's 10mm larger. Handling improves for me as the tire gets wider. Think of it like a steamroller.

Current rides: 03 HD FLHT & 01 Yamaha XVS650(BIP)
Former: 87 Suzuki VS700, 94 BMW K1100LT & 91 Honda CB250
I don't want to own them all, just ride them all.

Re: Front tire size
This's my VS1400 and the reason I'm going to 100/90/19 is because i want to get an whitewall and I can't find any 110/90/19.
Thank you so much for all the responses.

Re: Front tire size
I have been running the 100/90's for 100's of thousands of miles and many years. I like the way they handle, Much better than the stock size, they cost a LOT less than the 110's, and are easier to find.
The speedo difference is no big deal and and the bike is actually a little quicker steering.

I can't seem to win the lottery. I think I have used up all of my good luck riding motorcycles.
