What is the correct shock length? S83

Post by Uxbridge Brule »

Going to get some new shocks looking at Progressive 412 I don't want to loose any height at the back are the stock shocks 12.5" or 13".? The 13" are $80 bucks more before taxes($500 CDN). The better half has long legs and with peg extenders she is still cramped. I'm not ready to go the Goldwing route yet I like my motorcycle to look like a motorcycle.
Thanks

I just went and measured my stock one. 13" center to center of bolts.
I can't seem to win the lottery. I think I have used up all of my good luck riding motorcycles.

Is that 13" measurement,.....was it measured with the wheel off the ground?

I seem to recall that he Stock Shocks were longer, eye-to-eye with off the bike,...and for a reason.

Thanks Herb that is the kind of luck I have 13" it is and $500 before taxes. I guess that is cheaper than a new bike or getting a wife with a shorter inseam :ShitGrinandThumb:

Designer it only lists 13" and under for the 412 so I'm thinking that it's 13" and the rest are to slam the bike a little.

Thanks for the input guys. The shocks are on order and should be in early September I will start another thread on the install and how they ride.
