I have no idea what is happening but there is no point sending me a message for Designer springs.

I have not got Designer springs and I don't supply them.

I realize this is a mistake but I definitely do not have them or supply them.

I then get a massage not to ask some one else for designer springs,----what the $%^& is going on.

Will the new spring fix my shifter no returning to its resting position when down shifting?

My bike seems to only have this issue when I down shift and only after riding for an extended period of time.

I'm new here and can't send designer an email not a pm.

Won't fix that. You'll have to remove the left side transmission cover and repair the broken or detached spring that is in there. The transmission cover is UNDER the chrome cover on that side you know!

The shifter joints and the pivot point get dry and will cause this problem. Use a good penetrating oil, like PB Blaster and oil these points well. The problem will probably go away.

Just ordered a set of springs for my Intruder 1400. Can't wait to see how she feels without all the clutch slip. It sucks to twist it wide open at 3000 rpms and it go straight to 6000 rpms with the bike lagging behind in acceleration.

I'm in need of a set of these springs and, like a cretin-encephalo, failed to make not of where the short vs. long spring go. I'm almost certain the shorties go into the BTL hub and the long ones go into the driving shell, but someone, please clarify for me!!

Page 3-73 of the manual that is pinned to the top of the 1400 forum.

The long bolt, spacer and spring go on the clutch sleeve hub side.

I finally installed my springs today, and couldn't be happier. The throttle feels much more connected to the engine with these, makes for a much more exciting ride I think.

I installed my set of Designer springs back in early February and I'm a very happy customer. Worth every penny! I knew my clutch was slipping, especially at or near freeway speeds, and when attempting to pass. But man I had no idea how bad it was until I took the first ride after installing the new springs and bolts. It changed the bike in more ways than one. Besides being more responsive/powerful it's ten times smoother of a ride and it even sounds better out the drag pipes I have. My fuel economy went way up. Used to get around 80mi per tank but now I regularly get over 100 before having to pop over to reserve.

Big thanks to Designer (Ed)!

+1 on Designer's springs. Have them in my scoot. Worth the upgrade and worth the wait. He's sold many sets. My guess is there's a good reason for any delay and you'll get them soon. Enjoy!
