A lot of work for nothing. Tossed my double thick strap over the top of the electronics over 3 years ago. No signs of rubbing or wear of any sort. Not a single issue to date.

I personally just throw mine over the electronics too, but it's nice to have here in case I ever do need it. Thanks for sharing this! :thumbup:

A longer bolt would been simpler.

I did it with the stock seat, my cobra seat, and my Corbin dt

The stock seat was the easiest as the tab is plastic. The others it is metal.

I made aluminum brackets and drilled thru the bags to mount them. Never removed the seat.

That's the way mine are mounted as well. There's no 'throw over strap' with stock bags.
