Wondering if you might have a bad float valve and the rear cylinder is flooding intermittently?

I thought about that but the carb was taken apart 5 or 10 thousand miles ago.

Plus unless I'm wrong flooding would cause black smoke

Yeah, maybe, but I'm struggling to think of anything else that would do this intermittently.

Correct Black smoke would be fuel
Blue is oil
You say it dosnt always smoke and when it does it puts out a smoke screen?

That suggests to me that the oil is pooling up somewhere and and getting in the intake all at ounce.
I doubt it is a mechanical issue Like rings or valve guides and seals

The only thing I can think of that is not constant is the decompression system.

How do you like your 21" wheel?

I think it is a plugged PCV system Possible collapsed hose
When you accelerate the vacuum drops When you decelerate in gear the vacuum climbs and may collapse the hose
Is the PCV hose hooked up to the rear Carb?

I dint remember
Where should i look
I dont see how it would only collapse after 200 miles .

I rode today with no smoke .

It wont be the Mileage but the way you ride in that 200 miles
If the hose is soft it could collapse or if it i separating inside.
Also if the PCV system is hooked to the rear carb

PS the wheel is still in the box LOL

Im an old man and the road is rough and hard and full of potholes.
I ride the same way all the time.
Between 35 and 50mph.
No stunts
No races
No wheelies
PCV? Not me! K&N pod filters.
No smog crap.
I checked the breather on the front jug.
Never checked for one on the back jug.
The bike only has 61,010 miles on the clock now.

Under normal and sane driving your engine may produce a range of vacuum from 3-22 inches of vacuum
The Positive Crankcase ventilation PCV system uses this vacuum to scavenge crank case gases.
On the Stock engine this system is hooked u7p from the number 2 cylinder to the front Air box.
You mentioned that you had Pod filters and no Air boxs. I Just assumed that the PCV system was hooked up to the rear because of the odd smoking problem
Or was I mistaken about the Pod fiters

There is no PVC system on these. There is only a crankcase vent on the front cylinder valve cover.

Correct. There is a small four inch u-shaped hose running from the front valve cover to the air box...and a long hose from the air box going down the front frame tube. If I ride my bike somewhat hard, giving it some full throttle runs and decent rpm, then later when it sits in the garage I'll get a single drop of oil from that tube. The rear air box also has a breather hose, but I've never had anything come out of it.

Actually, the hose on the rear airbox is just a drain in case water gets in it, there is no hose from the engine to it.

Prince, I think you might have an issue with something plugging the outlet of the exhaust lash adjuster. This would cause the adjuster to pump up too high, causing it to pop out the exhaust, and with the valve held open, it would suck oil past the valve guide.

Try running half a pint of MMO or Rislone in the oil for the next couple of oil changes and see if it doesn't help.

float seat o rings. Take the float seat out where the screen is and there is an o ring around it. Took me months to find this solution. I experienced smoking, fuel under bike, back firing, and just running rich as hell. Some times it would run perfect though. That's why it took me so long to find it. My rear jug was the culprit also. Since then I have fixed several intruders with the same problems and when I flip intruders, I replace this o ring before selling them. Seems this is starting to be a common problem with intruders since a good many of them are starting to be 10 to 15 years old.

good luck..............
