What's the tallest bars

Was wondering what the tallest bars I could fit on my 2001 intruder 1400 without modifying my cables. I'm between 10 or 12 inch mini apes. Just wondering if I would need to change anything.

Rumor has it 10" fit nicely, 12" may be a stretch.

Still waiting on the bars. I pulled the stock bars and it doesn't seem like there is much room for the cable/lines is there a secret I'm over looking?
