Not much going on here...

Post by MadCow »

Is it because not many own an M109? I honestly don't know of anyone who does.

GMan owns a C109R. Maybe we should recruit him. (Wait, admins are off limits) I have a buddy who owns an M109R, but he works more than I do, so needless to say he has no time for forums. Maybe the others don't either.

The one friend I had with one traded it in on the new Vstrom with the BMW style wire wheels [emoji2] . The second year they were out the local dealer had only one first year that had any trouble. It was getting away with some oil? After a few day of looking at it found nothing wrong and ended up giving him his money back. They gave it a ring job and thought it ok but asked me if I would ride it 1,000 miles? It was the nice blue one with the wide white stripe. It was winter and cold.30s but roads dry so for three days I just leave my bike and ride and come back by closing time.It did not use any oil and they footed all gas so was fun.
At first did not like it as much as later. The real wide rear tire got lots of looks when I made coffee warm up breaks but every crack or small hole in the road was worse because hard to miss on bad roads. After awhile it grew on me and by the time the 1,000 on it liked it fine.Power was good and seat ok. Was solo so don't have a clue about two up but big with lots of power so should be good. Not a bike I ever had my sites on but not bad.
