Can anyone give me the specs for the Thermo Switch on a VS800GL? I need to know the thread size and the temperature it closes. I can't find that anywhere.
Also, has anyone used a generic switch on this? I think $80 is a TAD out of line when these things regularly sell for $10 for generators etc.

According to the service manual (you should download one above), it turns on at ~110C/230F, and back off at ~104C/219F.
Manual doesn't give thread sizes, so you have to measure it yourself.

Did you end up finding a generic thermo switch that works? I'm in the same boat now.
