Cruise control adjustment

Post by LSU Tiger »

I have a 2000 vs800 with over 75k. Today I noticed when I engage the cruise control the bike gradually slows down. I noticed there is a bolt, a nut and a spring on the windward side of the cruise control. I assume you turn the nut on the bolt to tighten the spring which would make the cruise control stay at a uniform speed. I am certain this has never been adjusted on my bike. Thanks

I'd say you assume correctly; at least, that's how mine works.

Cruise control? I've never heard of such a thing on a vs800. I have heard of throttle locks and that is what I have/had as my 800 is no longer running due to needing the DS tire put on the rear rim. :bonk: :space: :lolfall:
