Front Turn Signal Screw...
Having the damndest time trying to get this screw off... Not sure what it's deal is I'm sure this comes off as a weird question but is this actually meant to come off or is there something specific that needs to be done to get it off? Both the front's are absolutely stuck but the rear's are just fine ... Any idea's would be welcome... Trying to avoid drilling it out if it's not necessary.

It holds the Metal End of the Rubber-flex joint of the Turn Signal Stem.
Being out in the Weather, yours is probably rusted in place.
I suggest you get some PB Blaster Penetrating oil,...soak it a couple of times over a period of a few hours in a day,...then give it another try tomorrow
Don't rush it!,...let the penetratingly oil do "the work". You patience will be rewarded by not having the Screw Head break off, or get too stripped to be taken out.

It looks like you have it pretty well stripped. After the PB blaster see it you can use a larger screw driver to get a better hold on it. A #3 Phillips may work well. Also, investing in some JIS or Japanese Industrial Standard screwdrivers would be a good idea.

If you have any type of electrical issue, have your battery load tested before you do anything else. Any auto parts store will test it for free.

Might be easier to drill the head off the screw - I take it you are replacing the indicator?

Also try a handheld impact driver with a JIS bit.

RubyEye. You will most likely not have to go through all the work that this would create.
If the Philips Screw Driver ideas don't work, use a Dremel Tool with a Circular Metal Cutting Blade in it and make it a Slotted Screw. A large Flat Screw Driver will make it come out after soaking it properly.
I have done this several times with success every time (after soaking it first, of course)
PB Blaster seems to work better that Liquid Wrench, but both will probably work in this situation.

Drilling the head off the screw is more work than using a Dremel?
I'd be a bit careful about using one of those hammer impact drivers on that clamp. You might end up removing the whole lot in a way you didn't intend.
A battery impact driver with a phillips bit would be a safer option.

On my 1400 the signal mounts were plastic and cracked easily. The impact driver may break them.

When on considers all the other work involved,...quite so it is.
Probably true,.. However, IF one is patient,.. and lets the Penetrating Oil works it's Magic long enough, none of the "impact Driver" workings will be necessary.

My 1400 has metal mounts, probably chromed pot metal, but metal.
If it is plastic I doubt that the screw would be corroded to where he couldn't get it out.
I can't seem to win the lottery. I think I have used up all of my good luck riding motorcycles.

Just explain why you think drilling the head off that screw wont work in this application. I've done it too many times to count and it works.
It IS the Tech board and the primary objective is to give advice that works.
Phillips heads are also easy to drill because they have an easily identifiable centre point. Start with a 3mm bit and then move up to a 6 then an 8. You don't need a drill bit as wide as the entire head - you just need to drill wider than the threads in the shaft. Once you get below the head the head falls off.
And I agree with nav that this would all be easier on the workbench but getting the clamp off would entail a fair bit of extra work.

If chromed pot metal cracks easily that may be what I had. I cracked one trying to clamp it back down and had to buy another one from Bronx Intruder. But in the end he got the mount back because he bought my VS1400 from me last year. Got an email from him recently and he has it running good again. Something about a fuel line issue.
