Just wondering if there are cheaper or better options. Thanks.

Many, including I, have had great success with MOTOBATT. ( the yellow battery).

Thanks Designer,

Are those Motobatt heavy?

Also I live around Chicago, so I get only 7-8 good riding months a year (one year I rode through winter when there wasn't snow - not doing that again). Then I trickle charge my Yuasa. It seems I have to replace them once every 2 years or so. Do I have to trickle charge? How long do they last?

It it easy to connect to the wires? I'm looking at a pic on ebay and I don't see any posts for the battery.

I've run Motobatts for over 7 years, still good.
The batteries come with all the hardware you need for easy hookup,
Highly recommended.

They are no heavier than any other battery it's size.

^^^ What he said.

You will want a "smart" charger for maintaining an AGM Battery. There's many on the Market, and many Articles rating those chargers.

Here's one for starters. (pun intended)

I had a Scorpion battery in for 5-6 years and it did great.

The one I had was the YTX16-BS-1 Scorpion 12v 220 CCA AGM ATV & Motorcycle Battery.
https://www.scorpionbattery.com/powersp ... -bs-1.html

But if I was getting a new one I would go with the SSTX20CH-FP Scorpion Stinger 12v 507 CCA LiFePo4 Extreme High Output Battery, just for the higher CCAs.
https://www.scorpionbattery.com/powersp ... ch-fp.html

These bikes run on the battery so a good one is the only way to go.
If you have any type of electrical issue, have your battery load tested before you do anything else. Any auto parts store will test it for free.

Thanks - If there's one thing I have learned about these bikes, is a good charged battery solves many issues. I'll check out the scorpion too.

Designer, you have your PMs blocked.

Because I can't send you a PM. It works for everyone else just not for you.

I just went to send Designer a PM to check it out. I don't even have an option for a PM to him.
I can't seem to win the lottery. I think I have used up all of my good luck riding motorcycles.

He can easily go to his user control panel < Board preferences < Edit global settings and choose allow private messages.
Easy peasy.

I took Navigators advice and went to my Profile,...then the setting that would allow for PM's.

And it's turned on to "yes"...just like the E-mail setting is. (which works)

So,...Mark this guy confused!. :dunno:

Could it be that your inbox is full? I don't know if that can happen but some sites do have a limit.
