Aftermarket wider seat
I'm looking for suggestions on a replacement seat for my '97 VS800GL. I love this bike but if I ride for more than half an hour on the OEM seat I start to get real uncomfortable. Need something that is wider and more sustainable for a longer ride.

Re: Aftermarket wider seat
Your 97 has a 2 piece seat, which can be replaced with a 1 piece seat from a later model, by removing the bracket between the seats on the rear fender.
However the stock seats all suck...very uncomfortable after a few hours.
I like the Corbin Gunfighter, I can ride it all day.
The passenger section is lacking, its more of a solo seat.
Corbin also makes a dual tour, I never sat on one so no comment there.
Mustang makes a 2 up seat also.

If you are handy you could make your own.
