I tried it with the following variation:

--- add into the sauce some smaller slices of jalapeno peppers for extra pizzazz, more or fewer to your liking, and

--- instead of garlic powder in the ground beef, liberally sprinkle garlic powder on each serving of spaghetti just before eating.

Re reading this thread reminds me of a true story.

There's a restaurant I frequent that serves spaghetti for lunch and dinner.
On the lunch menu its listed as: Spaghetti and one meatball. Of course there's soup or salad and bread too.
On the dinner menu it's listed as: Spaghetti and a meatball. Still, with soup or salad and bread, for 4 dollars more.

I've never tried the dinner Spaghetti.

I just never heard of "one" meatball ... lunch OR dinner, heh heh.
You'd think they'd give you at least two on the dinner price ... heh. I was agreeing that it's crazy.
