Greetings

Post by TripleKing »

I am new the the forum. I am from NE PA. I recently acquired an 86 maroon VS750. I had worked on it and had it running really well about 4 years ago for the previous owner. He is now in his 70s and has dropped the bike and neglected it since. It has a dented tank, peeling paint on the swing arm and a leaking left fork. Why did I acquire this bike?

1) It has 8600 miles.

2) I liked riding itwhen I got it running for him 4 years ago.

3) I got it for free.

MY first mission is to get a new tank. I am interested to find out what tanks may swap.

Cheers,

Welcome.
A VS800 tank will fit, as will many other vs800 parts.

I thought they might as the frames where essentially the same. If the triples fit, I would go with the thicker forks of the VS800. I like the engine from the VX800. I like its state of tune a little better. The dismantling begins in a couple of days.

The triples should fit. I have a set of triples, both forks, and a tank (black). If you are interested, shoot me an email.

Nav has a tank? Shit dude if that tank is in decent condition, I'd highly recommend you buy it. They are rare and very hard to find unmolested.
