You don't need an account and you only need a paid account if you want to store pictures on there.

Nice bike, I am sure Designer will be posting some pictures of his past builds so you guys can compare. Is that a single carb I am seeing? If so get ready to explain how you made that work, that has been a long running topic on here.

Inquiring minds want to know...
I can't seem to win the lottery. I think I have used up all of my good luck riding motorcycles.

:ShitGrinandThumb: :space: That's one RAD Chopper you made there! :space: I LOVE the Old Skool Chopperzzz look.

I don't see any struts on the Rear,....did you weld the swingarm in place? :Umm:

I'll bet you ran the Rear Cylinder Intake Manifold over The top of the Rear Cylinder. :space: My buddy, Daveguy1962, did that when he made is Side-mounted Mikuni Dual-throat Carb.

I'd say "Head swapped Chop" means just that.

I'm guessing you put a front head on the rear to get the intake manifolds in the centre of the vee? Or 1500 heads, perhaps??

Nice work if that's the case

EDIT: I can see the mounting holes for the 1500 fake air cleaner on the heads - so they are 1500 heads on a 1400.

Again - nice work :ShitGrinandThumb:

Image indeed they are heads off a 98 VL1500. And no I still have 2 carbs. Custom intakes with Mikuni TMX38 flatslides. 1500 has dished pistons 1400 has flat top. Combustion chamber is smaller with the 1500 heads so I got a huge boost in compression. Paired with the Dyna 3000 it's a mean machine. And yes I welded the swing arm to the frame. +6 fork tubes. 14" custom t bars. Gas tank and 21" front from a vs800. I had all 3 at once so naturally i tried to figure out what things were swap able. I keep up with my buddies Kawasaki ZRX1100 til 100 or so then I run out of steam. Scared to see what it's actually capable of til I get a different front tire but I get a lot of compliments on it. Front is a Continental Twinduro 90/90r15 I think. I simplified all the wiring probably 3-4 times.

I've heard of you before. I'm assuming you make the Designer clutch springs.

The last thing I've done to it. Still haven't completed it though. With no decomp 220cca was not cutting it so I did the "battery box mod" it will poke out a little but with the extra 110cca and being able to remove it without jacking up the bike. I was only able to get about 4-5 starts out of a fully charged battery. And my voltage regulator didn't ohm to spec so I'm just gonna replace that and my stator too. Then everything should be good to go!

No issues with valve clearance to pistons? Did you have the relieve the 1400 pistons at all?

Yes, that is I.

Back in "The Heyday" of chopping/customizing on The Purple Board, I did some Gearing Mods. :space: It did require Splitting the Engine Cases. :space: Did you do that hen doing your engine mods?

No doubt! Only thing that bothers me is a vibration that comes and goes constantly. And I've replaced u joint and still nothing. Guessing it's from my shaft angle.
