Hey everyone my name is Austin=aus10dub. I've been on off-road bikes & ATV's my whole life, just bought my first road bike at the age of 22(I promise i'll try not hurt myself!) Loving the machine so far, 98 vs800 intruder! I bought it 100% stock with 32,000 original miles for $1,000, with a bobber project in mind. Well, not a true bobb because im keeping rear suspension, but shaved legs, clipped rear fender, new bars and controls. Im very excited, i grew up in the garage and im a bit of a wrench myself, about anything past the valves is out of my experience range. [emoji14] thanks for the add, excited to be part of this "unique" group of men and women! Happy trails!

Thanks old time rider, i plan on sticking around for a while. I will post pictures and updates of the bobber build progress in a different section of the forums. Just ordered about US$800 worth of parts for the build, got just about everything I need(cant decide what route i want to go on the seat), and plan to start the build within the next few weeks! But I'm sure you will see a lot of my posts in the near future, because I may or may not ask for some information and help from people here throughout my build progress. Weather here is still a bit chilly to be on the bike every day, so I have about six weeks to do this build and I figure it should be plenty time

I've bobbed/chopped more'n a dozen Intruders now. Any questions along the way just ask. Lots here more knowledgeable than myself, though not everyone is happy about cutting them up! Chop em all!
