First Intruder and Lovin it!!

Post by Irishmandjg »

Hey folks my name is Dave and I live in Pa. bought my 97 Intruder vs1400 about 6 months ago as a project bike. I've since gotten her on the road and been working on blacking her out. She still has some small issues I may need help with but that's the reason for these groups right?! I've already learned quite a bit since being on here and glad to be a part of it.

Coming along nicely. Are you going to go satin on the tank and swing arm?

Frame, swing arm and drive shaft are gonna have a satin black.... the rest is flat black. The tank is currently satin because I am gonna have it 2-tone with some pin striping...I'll post a pic of the tank idea I loved

Personally I would go with silver to offset the mat and satin, kinda like the Black Night.

Keep us posted as to your progress.

When I rebuilt mine I went with orange highlights to offset the black but it fell short of what I really wanted so I tried out a JPS racing theme using gold highlights. I'm really happy with the way she looks now and I get thumbs up all the time.
