Been lurking for a few weeks and thought it was time to properly introduce myself.
Rudy from San Diego Ca. here. Pretty new to bikes in general, just got my M1 and just bought my first bike.
I found a pristine 2001 Intruder VS800 on craigslist with 6800 miles. Never been dropped, never been modified.
Here's a picture:

I am totally in love and cant wait to put some real mileage on this baby .

Been reading alot of the topics on here doing my best to learn as much as possible. Via this forum I found my untouched tool kit, found out the owner lost the steering lock key, learned where my rear brake light switch was located, and that there are a lot of neat mods I look forward to exploring. Highway bars, rear fender mods, and new more comfortable seat options are all topics I am looking at right now.

Can't wait to keep learning and enjoying the community.

Rudy :putput:

Sharp looking ride there Rudy...you've bought a bullet proof bike...Enjoy [emoji106]

In broader terms when some one advertises that their bike has never been dropped...you can take that with a grain of salt....
Understand this broader term.....
"There are two kinds of bikers, the ones that have dropped their bikes and the ones that are going to drop their bikes"

This was told to me by a very old accomplished rider , we called him Lefty...he lost his left arm in a motorcycle accident when he was much younger, his bike was modified so he could operate without a left hand.... He always wore a long sleeve shirt no matter what the weather, had a leather glove sewed to the end of the left arm sleeve and when riding he would attach the glove to his left hand grips..passing him you couldn't tell that he was a on armed bike rider [emoji106]
