WTB VS1400 Exhaust

Post by brianh64 »

I finally got the project from hell to fire BUT I'm NOT liking the exhaust with no baffles on it. Does anyone have a stock exhaust they want to part with or something that has some sound deadening?

If you have any type of electrical issue, have your battery load tested before you do anything else. Any auto parts store will test it for free.

I saw the ad and saw it was from 2020 and appears it's just the mufflers.

You should be able to reuse your head pipes with the advertised mufflers.
Do you need new head pipes? are they damaged?
The baffles are in the mufflers not the head pipes.

Mine has an aftermarket exhaust that exits on the right side of the frame.

So you would need part number 2. https://www.partzilla.com/catalog/suzuk ... lp/muffler

If you want to keep the right side exhaust Just pick up any good slipons.

I do have my reasons for asking for a complete exhaust system.

There are some out there, not pretty, but they are there.

If you are willing to use exhaust wrap they may turn out okay.

To save money I would either buy the new pipes and put them on as is or a used set and wrap them. Either way the mufflers from subin are a good deal and look near perfect.

You never said if you are planning on keeping the exhaust on one side or going back to stock?

I'm good with stock or aftermarket. The ones on mine are/were chrome. One pipe is chrome and the other has rattle paint over the chrome and neither have the baffles which to me sounds like :shithead:. I saw that set on eBay but was hoping a user had a set they tok off their bike.
