Well I was just about to wander up to the car shops on Sukhumvit road so I spun the filter off and there it is stamped on the base plate M20-1

So its not a B6Y1-14-302 with an 18mm spigot.. I tried all this before --years ago and I was'nt successful then. So ille go for a walk on the beach instead.

So many things different between the 800 and the 1400. Being a v twin seems to be all.

Now I have the filter bug I do know a shop that sells all bike filters " bling shop" ille take a peak in there,--its like a supermarket so you can pick stuff up and look at it.

Any one know the torque setting for filters.

Ah well, back to the drawing board, it was worth a check. I couldn't get hold of a 20 /1 mm that's why I had a new nipple made. 18/1.5(?)mm is a very popular filter.
Now for a new debate.
How do you torque up an oil filter? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Yup had them in the bling shop--opened the box stamped on the base M20-1. I don't know what the -1 means

It fit a shit load of suzukis and at the bottom VLC 1500 130 baht

Extreme bling shop. But when I looked at it it was like the one I had in so I guess I must have changed it already. I thought it looked a bit clean. Oh well memory is going.

130 baht is about 3 dollar 40 cents. Had anti drain valve also.

Good score, 130 Bht isn't to be sniffed at. The -1mm is the thread pitch crest to crest.
