Sticker on the chassis says "FUEL: 91 RON MIN" and here in FL we only get 87, 89, and 93 octane.
So I guess I'm stuck getting premium? Not a big deal when your tank is only 3 gallons. [emoji106]

Someone else told me that 91 RON = 87 octane in the US, so I'm good to go.

Thanks, Nav. Do you see any advantage in running premium 93?navigator wrote:Bingo! 87 is all you need.KennyFSU wrote:Someone else told me that 91 RON = 87 octane in the US, so I'm good to go.

In a 750...No, it is not a high compression engine, premium will burn slightly hotter, and I use my fuel savings on beer.KennyFSU wrote:Thanks, Nav. Actually the bike will start and run better on the 87 than 91. 91 is made to not burn as fast or ignite as easily as the lower octane gas.
When I first moved to Fallon there was a station selling 85, my 1400 loved that gas. It started better and got better gas mileage than with the 87.

I can't seem to win the lottery. I think I have used up all of my good luck riding motorcycles.

The bike will run fine on 87 and 85.
I ran 85 at higher elevations when available.
Florida's lowest octane is 87, it is also at sea level, where Fallon is at 4000 ft.
