Front forks "Help"
I need to replace my front forks because one of them is slightly bent. I have used - new forks to replace them with. As easy as it looks I still need some step by step guide or some thing, I have never done this before. Any help would be appreciated. (Vs1400 - 2001)

Do you have a manual?
https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=C ... file%2cpdf
It's on 8-12
Remove Front Wheel
Remove Speedo Cable
Remove the brake Caliper
Remove the fender
Loosen the turn signal clamp bolt
Remove the front fork cap bolt
Loosen the lower front fork clamp bolt and slide out the fork

When you pull the old tubes drain first.
I think you need a 6mm allan to remove the drain plug after you remove the axel.
Also after you drain while the tubes are still in the tree
Remove the plug under the cap i think it is 14mm.
And remove the fork spring.
Now remove the lower leg.
Look for the slot at the top.
Use a screwdriver to pop off the cap.
now look for the spring ring under the cap.
With the screwdirver pry the spring ring out.
Now push the lower leg up all the way and pull down hard.
It may take 3 to 5 pulls to get it off.
Doing it this way makes it ez because you wont need a vice.
The triple tree will replace the vice.
