Foot Peg removal

Post by jazzyanne »

Hello fine people
Are there any suggestions on how to remove(replace) the right driver foot peg on a 99 Suzuki VS1400GLP Intruder? (Short of taking the bike apart ;) )
Much appreciated, as I would love to get another month of tranquil riding in... 8-)

If it is bent, you can remove the screws underneath, slide the rubber off, and straighten the tang with a piece of pipe.
Otherwise, you need to remove the exhaust and lower the peg bracket.

If you have to remove the footrest assembly (usually do), you should know about the locking pins on the four bolts that hold it on, #4 in this drawing: https://www.partsoutlaw.com/oemparts/a/ ... 2/footrest
