Just to note, there are some of the taller sissy bars that replace the current sissy bar and there are some that just extend the original and you keep the tool box.
If you have any type of electrical issue, have your battery load tested before you do anything else. Any auto parts store will test it for free.

Mine had the extended back rest that kept the tool box. BronxIntruder has the bike now but I don't know if he wants to sell the extension.

THoes are cast Aluminum Covers from Germany. To me,...those are THE ONLY ones to have on your 1400.
The Fork Tubes themselves came from Franks Forks in America. The rest of the Front Fork on Black Thunder came from Thunderbike, Germany.
The Raked Triple Trees on my Springtail came from Seeger Cycle

That is a Frame "kit" from AME Germany. Back long ago, ( in the Heyday of customizing 1400's) A parts supplier here in America ( IIRC it was Cobra) ordered several of them as a promotion. I have three of them.azazelakira wrote: ↑Thu Sep 14, 2023 6:18 pmI am curious, how did you made the rear suspension on the modified one?
One you see as my Springtail Chopper, and two others in my "stash" of 1400 parts.

Re: VS1400 EXTENDED SISSYBAR BACKREST...???
My wife's uncle in Germany was in the Bones MC (Bones patched over to HA in the late 90s) from the 70s to the early 90s and he rode a VS1400. In fact the VS1400 was the bike they all wanted and many rode. This was a time that HDs were just way to expensive in Germany and parts were hard to come by. Some of the best looking custom 1400s I have ever seen were in Germany since the 1% clubs were riding them. In fact some of the old guys still ride them. Germany even kept the Intruder name when the US went to Boulevard.Designer wrote: ↑Fri Sep 15, 2023 6:57 amThat is a Frame "kit" from AME Germany. He says that since he don't speak English, he will not be able to tell me how to program the system that ia needed to tell the injectors what to do....... I have no idea if I should keep asking him questionsDesigner wrote: ↑Fri Sep 15, 2023 2:31 pmWHATT!!??azazelakira wrote: ↑Fri Sep 15, 2023 12:27 pm........ Let me see if I have this correct.
He tells you in words that ...." he will not be able to tell me how to program the system that is needed to tell the injectors what to do"....before you buy it,...and you understand what he said....even though he doesn't speak English.
But he can't tell you...In Words,....how you program it when you own it?
