Hi guys I would like to put on a lager fuel tank on my 93 vs 1400 .
Any suggestions ? I live in Western Australia and going for country rides it can get up 300km between fuel stations.

Other than getting a body shop to widen it there isn't much else you can do except strap a jerry can to your sissy bar.

http://www.coyote-gear.com/fuel-tanks.html used to sell an 8" and I think a 6" diameter tank that fit under the oil radiator, but it doesn't look like they stock them anymore.

I like the idea for placement, but doesn't the fuel tank need to be above the carbs for it to gravity feed the fuel? or is this strictly to carry additional fuel to fill the main tank if you run out? I would love to have a larger tank, but would prefer it to be plumbed into the fuel system.

The VS1400/S83's have an electric fuel pump, not sure about what the other models have.

Hello everyone,
I'm new to the forum and am restoring a 1975/6 ty175. The fuel tank is Swiss cheese so I'm on the look out for a restorable used one. Can anyone send me in the right direction?
Thanks

And here's a New Tank that'll fit that isn't too expensive,...saving you all the restoration work and $$$

Are you restoring it to original condition for show or just trying to get it in rideable condition for the use it is intended for.

I thought that I had already posted this question but I can't find it, not sure what happened.

Are you doing an OEM show restoration or a fit for hard riding, get it running, and ride it like it was meant to be ridden restoration?
