It would probably take a ton of work, but new forum software seems to be the way to go. Whatever is corrupting the database has to be sorted out, and it may not be a fixable thing as old as the software pacakge is.

Based on it being ColdFusion, it's probably Fusetalk forums (ancient). I've thrown my hand up to help fix it before but haven't heard back. Aka, ColdFusion dev since 2001 .

In computing circles 2001 is prehistory.....coldfusion has to go! In fact most everything Adobe makes is a dud!

Still works. Still nets very good paying .gov contracts. And now, also supported by very good open source implementations.

Nope, don't look like. At least not the original version of it.
They MAY or may NOT be working on something to bring them back to life, but I have a feeling they've given up the ghost.
The intruders have probably run their course. Maybe it's time for them to die, I don't know. I have one, I still love it. I'm glad I have this site to help me with things I don't always understand about them. That makes me happy! We have a great knowledge base here for those that own them and they are becoming classics in their own right. They last a LONG time if taken care of. I've heard tales of 150K miles worth from more than one owner! Tales? Not really, more like true owners! Bank it.

The Intruders are great bikes, don't get me wrong. As I said, I have one and love still it to death, even though I also own a new Vic as well.scootermcq wrote:Damnit Yo.... quit the sacrilege.YoDude wrote:The intruders have probably run their course. Maybe it's time for them to die, I don't know.
Support for them is starting to get weak though. We are here for that purpose...so....there's still support for all things Intruder!
Bronx wheels and deals parts and a lot of the current members are quite knowledgeable about them for other technical and other things. So, it's all good!
I guess we are kinda, perhaps, the last man standing, or to me, so it might seem. As long as there's a love for them and a place for people to help each other, then we're doing okay with that.
With that thought in mind, let us try to make this the knowledge center for the Intruders that still live in our hearts and garages and most of all, on the road. [emoji106]

The Intruder is .....was .......a great...GREAT..bike..
but ..
..more important..
the culture you guys on IA made...
is more great , and more important...
than the bike.....
because,,,,,,despite all the bullshit and stupidity you often bring...lol....
the technical experience & knowhow you bring along...
( caused by 12 month riding season / a complete diffrent society /50 x more miles than others,,, )
...is priceless!!!

I want IA back! But I just found this site, it's better than nothing. I've been doing some projects this winter and really needed Intruder Alert a few times. Glad to be here now.
If you have any type of electrical issue, have your battery load tested before you do anything else. Any auto parts store will test it for free.

Re: Anybody know if Intruder Alert is coming back??
Being the founder of this site and having started it because of IA, gives me a sad feeling that they seem to be no longer with us.
However, the spirit of IA, is still here, or so I'd like to think. Most of all, most of the members here were once IA members and all of the original IA members are welcome here.
If there's anyone here that has a problem with that, they need to send me a PM before I ban their asses for prejudice and ridicule!!

Yo Dude,
I am glad you started this site. I have been looking through it and it seems to be growing. I don't facebook or instagram or any thing else so these motorcycle sites are my only link to this online world. Thanks for your efforts.
