Anyone have any issues with the board?

Post by YoDude »

We had a member that had an issue with sending PMs. No one has ever made complaint about this, ever.

If anyone is having any issues you think are not right, please either PM me directly, and if you can't do that put up a post in the suggestions box to let me know.

Thanks,

I haven't had any problems with PM's, I've received a couple & I've sent a couple out.

But I've got star washers on my laptop too. So there ya go!

In your particular instance, there was nothing wrong with your permissions or any setting I saw. I looked into your group settings and everything was normal there as well. Your group was that of a, 'registered' user and not one of a, 'newly registered user', which does in fact have limited functions of the board, yet your permissions reflected that of a, 'registered user'. When I looked into your permissions as YOU were, I did find, I was clamped out of PM abilities even though your group permissions showed you as a 'registered' user and not that of a 'new' user. In a long story short, I fixed it, but I don't wanna have to run though those hoops again if I don't have to.

No problems with PM's, but I do get randomly signed out even though I check "Keep me logged in" every time I log on. Caveat: this happens a couple of other phpBB boards I'm on,m so it may just be a bug in the code.

I also check the little box to signin every time I visit the board but it does no good. The only other thing I have a problem with is "Not enough members" on the board. :lolfall:

There may be a setting somewhere I've either overlooked or don't yet know about. I'll see what I can do.

I've looked into the 'persistent login' thing and it appears to be a bug in the code. Other phpbb admins have reported the same issue as well. It just doesn't work. I'm looking for a fix for this.....still.

My personal opinion is I think it's a combination of browser behavior and bad code. I've never been logged out of here.

Same unless I clear my cache. And at that point, it's obvious why I get logged out.

Well, there was that rather severe paddling in my sophomore year...which I deserved....

I got one in the 7th grade...plus was suspended for 3 days.

Some jackass in the 8th Grade took my little sisters purse and through it out of the moving school bus window.

You can guess what happened next. He'll never do it again. And wow, the school bus driver had a FIT trying to get that bus pulled over. lol

My Dad took me fishing.

Sorry for being off topic.

They need to bring the paddle back to the schools.

I do not agree. NOBODY gives my kids a red ass except me. I have no problem going down to the school to handle business.

You have that right. I'm just saying some of these kids need to be paddled in front of their friends.

I don't care who does the paddling but it needs to be done.
