Test riding this was fun today.
Not sure I'd pay $12,000, but I did like it. Much lighter and more comfortable than it looks. Plenty of power. I love custom choppers.

Coincidence. They had a couple, the green one just fit better. Like I said, awesome. Low weight center, wide rear tire really keeps you planted, stretched out riding position. Bar hopper though, couldn't pass up a test ride though.98VS1400 wrote:You and that green!!!
Just coincidence I'm sure. It is still funny!

Choppers are still cool. I used to want one, but my 1400 is styled close enough that is satisfies that itch. I'd never ride a hard tail though, too much abuse to the back.

Bar hopper for sure, but not a rigid. Hidden softail. Notice the swingarm.YoDude9999 wrote:Choppers are still cool. I used to want one, but my 1400 is styled close enough that is satisfies that itch. I'd never ride a hard tail though, too much abuse to the back.

Although, I didn't really notice that THAT bike wasn't a hard tail, my comment was in reference to choppers in general that do have hard tails. Thanks for pointing that out though, I did go back and look again. I've seen several HDs lately that you'd swear just by looking at them, they are hard tail bikes while they are not. That green one isn't one of them however.

I ride to work every day when the weather is nice. I don't polish anything. Good wash and wax once a year, spray it off in between.cheapcookies wrote:I sure hope so, it looks like something you ride to bike night and back.... and then spend the next 6 days polishing it.ddog6900 wrote:[url=http://www.loesshillshd.com/new_vehicle ... ov=3971731]Much lighter and more comfortable than it looks. Myself, I wouldn't take it around the block.

I have enjoyed the test ride, but the wife would never be comfortable on the back.
Only way I wouldn't have to worry about it, is if she fell off.

That's a nice looking bike!
I also love the chopper look. But like you, I'm riding every day. I ride until it freezes, my bike is my every day driver for work. The chopper, as much as I love it, is not practical right now for me.
But there's always someday...

Re: Not a Harley guy but...
While ddog and you both say it isn't a hardtail the specs page says it is. If you notice below it says it is a hardtail and has a 38° rake, but then it says it has 4° raked triple trees. So which is it 38° or 4 °?YoDude9999 wrote:Although, I didn't really notice that THAT bike wasn't a hard tail, my comment was in reference to choppers in general that do have hard tails. Frame Hard-tail Large Diameter Tube Frame 2 in. Top Tube Stretch
Rake 38°
The standard features page also says:
Polished billet 4° raked triple trees
