Well sir, I would have no clue whatsoever. Is this something I SHOULD know? Semi-famous doesn't sound like it would have been taught in school, or commonly known about.

Frozen custard? My teeth don't allow anything frozen even remotely near them. I can only barely survive an Eskimo bar and that's really pressing my luck because by the time I get to the last bite, I am not wanting to play anymore. I suffer with chilled potato salad at lunch as it is, while my co-worker chews ice cubes.

Well, let's see. I take highway 377 north to Stroud and go west on 66 till I get to the Round barn in Arcadia. So yes I do travel on Route 66 every once in a while. The round barn was in the movie Cars and I think Stroud was in it. If it wasn't it should have been because it had the old rock cafe on Route 66. But it burnt down the last I heard because of a grease fire. :bonk: I plan on going east towards Tulsa one of these trips just to see what is on Route 66. I have been on 66 east of Tulsa but not quite to the state line. :donno: I usually buy all my t-shirts for the swap at the Biker Shak a block from the Red Round Barn.

This is what one of those rich guys could do with all his money... pave and reopen Route 66. They sell a booklet at the round barn in Arcadia that shows what sections are drive able and what isn't. It has maps of the closed sections so you can visit it if you want to. I want to get me one and then make plans on going to the start in Chicago and riding as much as I can to the west coast end at Santa Monica pier. Of course I could just go east to Chicago and then visit Duluth to see the ships and then head west to Seattle and then find the PC highway and down the west coast to Route 66 and take it back home to Okla. No back tracking that way. :uhh:
