The Icon Voting thread!

That icon was put up as a sample kind of trial thing so we could see how it looked on the site as I had mentioned in a previous post. It was the, 'runner up'.

The next one will be #26.

I like the current icon the best so far. Don't know the #, but right now it is 10/20/14 @ 0515 hrs. EST.

He's just upset his wasn't up for vote. Didn't fit the criteria. And, I'm sorry, but I think JFL's abstract print isn't the vibe were for, if we're going to be taken seriously.

Keith made mention of this as well and I do have to agree. Though the present icon, shows graphical skills, it doesn't really show any true artistic skills. It would be nice to have something truly and completely original as like IA does, but at this point in time, I think what we have won't hinder us in any way and does look at least somewhat professional, even if simple.

Perhaps we can get Jolsen to take a look at Larry's submissions and see if he can do something with them, that we can put on one or more of the available styles.

JFLs larger submission, I think would be wonderful on the site main page (that shows it as still under construction) which probably no one really sees anymore once they've signed up to the forum. Maybe Mike has a thought on that?

I think the under construction idea would be nice. I'm too lazy to bookmark the other, so I see it everyday. I'm rather artistic, and could probably draw the Intruder image free hand if anyone would be interested in seeing what it looks like. Can't do it from my smartphone, and wouldn't deviate from the font everyone seems to love, but it would be interested. I'm also quite proficient in Auto CAD, although I don't have a copy at the moment and not sure how it would translate to a small PNG format.

Trust me, I am taking it easy, when I submitted my efforts, we had no direction. I am not upset. I figured mine were not up for a vote as they had the wrong name. I could have reduced the size in photoshop, shadowed outlined, distorted, or any combination of those options, and resubmitted with the correct copy. I did not simply because the subsequent flood of submissions seemed more than sufficient and stuck to the original name, which was never up for a vote. You may do whatever you want with what I submitted. I could still replace boulevard with alert, if you like. Many of us see way too many street signs when we ride, but I see the least in rural Tennessee since scrap aluminum buys much more these days.

P.S. I helped lose a war, and I am not upset about that, nor do I get upset about small things. My vanity disappeared along with my youth, a lot of my red hair and most of my teeth.

they started making signs in GA out of plastic cause the metal kept getting stolen.

Larry we are sometimes, serious, here. :thumbup: Do what you want with it. let J refine it for you, or do your own. I got no problem with it.

LoL it is centered but the italics throws it off. If I did the words separate I could move them around and such.

When I see that icon (logo) I think it screams "Look at me, Just don't take me serious." Reminds me of the Chit Chat board.
