'Pistol' Pete Maravich was a fabulous shooting guard for LSU. Marovich was the most prolific scorer in NCAA history, A 3 time All American and 2 time National Player of the Year, who averaged 44.2 points a game in college and never averaged less than 43.8 per game! Maravich accomplished this without the aid of the three point shot and led the NCAA in scoring each year he played. His scoring record is even more impressive when you consider there was no three point shot, no shot clock, and he only played his sophomore through senior seasons due to the rules in place at the time. Incredible legend of the game!
