I read about Mike on Facebrook.. Mike is one of the Good Guys, I met him at one of the DS&T happenings at Lake Whitney.
Always friendly and he made a good impression of his kindness on this ole Cajun.

We rode together in Maggie Valley also and yes not much grass can grow under his tires when he's in the twisties.

And some of his stories are legend... We were lucky in Maggie Valley, we had two of the best story tales present for that rally
Billy Jack Beaumont and N Trude :ShitGrinandThumb:
duc, sequere, aut de via decede
"frapper fort, frapper vite, frappée souvent-- Adm William "Bull" Halsey
“We’re not going to just shoot the sons-of-bitches, we’re going to rip out their living Goddamned guts and use them to grease the treads of our tanks.”--Gen George Patton
"Our Liberty is insured by four "Boxes", the Ballot box, the Jury box, the Soap box and the Cartridge box"

:ShitGrinandThumb: He sent me a DVD he made from one of the DS&T gatherings. You know I never met him IRL, but I could tell by talking to him on the phone that he is a good guy. I could hear it in his voice. He has so many stories. I like stories and storytellers. :rag:

He'd drag that trailer through the twisties like it wasn't even there. I had all i could do to keep up with him. That storyteller can ride. :ShitGrinandThumb:

Sad to read he's not well. I have had the pleasure of meeting and riding with him many times.
Nav, the Maggie valley ride's we're with some great folk's. I recall that Grunt drove over to visit in his t-bird because he was not able to ride.
Many of the people who we've gathered with over the year's and are truly great guys aren't doing well or have passed in recent years. It's always a good idea to take some time and go ride at the gathering's with the folk's we chat with online because you just never know when that opportunity will no longer be an option.

I wish ntrude well with whatever he's dealing with.

I can't seem to win the lottery. I think I have used up all of my good luck riding motorcycles.

I'm coming late to this post mainly because I'ver been in and out of ER and hospital rooms for a month myself. Think I've got a fighting chance to go a little longer but no one ever knows for sure.

Had the chance to ride with Mike a couple of times over the years and like someone mentioned, he could push that Goldwing with his Chevy behind around the twisties in AR like few others. I was following him and a couple of others on some roads with wife on back and every hard right bend I'd scrape something down below. Next stop I took a good look and there was a bolt sticking out in a bad place on the Victory pipes and thanks to following Mike it was ground about smooth. We'd talked about getting together for some crappie fishing but like so many great ideas it just wasn't meant to be. I will definitely be one of those who keep alive in my mind and while I'm not riding anymore I spend a lot of time together with guys I've ridden with in my head and losing any of them hurts.
