I went out for the ride today. Not too long of a ride, only about 75 miles, but I got out. I'll probably go out again tomorrow, this time with a destination ... maybe the Maples for lunch (popular "biker bar"). That should be it with the nice weather for a while. Looks like it will rain off and on for the rest of September.

We rode this last Saturday to two places, one to make a donation to a good cause and the other to Ride to Eat!
First off we rode to the Burton Complex (local) to participate in a Suicide Prevention Walk, before we left the Harley shop we all pitched in and made a donation for the cause.
The group arriving around 9;30am.
We rode to two places this last Saturday, one was a trip to the Burton Compl

Then a group picture before heading out on our regular scheduled monthly ride.


Then we were off to Spanky's an eatery in Orange Texas, not too long a ride since we had the detour earlier..
This was our first visit to Spanky's and I'm sure we will be back in the future.


13 bikes and no passengers this time aound

Me too. Over that last 19 years I have planned and led many a Ride. Sometimes with as many as 35 Bikes! And always included in the planning was a place to gather and "Break Bread" together that was of exceptional food.
I remember once one of the riders had a really neat T shirt. On the front was a big dinner plate! And the lettering above it said,....." Ride To Eat"...and the lettering below it said,...."Eat To Ride". I just had to laugh as that pretty much summed up our Day.
