Plans

Post by Tbeck »

Just wondering what or if anyone has plans for Christmas?

I'll be going over to my dad's house where everyone will meet to exchange gift's and have a Christmas meal together. Always way too much food even though we coordinate about who will bring whatever.
Now we draw names each year at Thanksgiving dinner as to whom each person will bring a gift for. We used to each bring gifts for everyone but everyone is now in their adult year's of age, so bringing a gift for one simplified the gifting. We still have a couple young one's so if course they get a gift from everyone.
So that's the jist of my Christmas plans, and of course flintlock winter hunting begins the day after Christmas so I'll be off to the woods and hopefully able to walk after my surgery next week :ShitGrinandThumb:

We're going over to Nova Scotia to spend Christmas with my parents again this year. Since they're both in their 90's now, it's not a good idea to skip anymore. We've been visiting as much as we can these days.

Merry Christmas to you and yours T.

Cuban, I recall you doing that before, good on you  . My father is now in his mid 80's and doing okay but it's best to cherish every bit of time with your parents that everyone has. Nothing seems worse than wishing you had visited or said something to a loved one that you look back with regret.
I hope your time with them over Christmas is filled with joy for everyone. :XmasTree:

My Sweet Wife's side of the family are gathering here in the deep south for a Christmas celebration. Everyone's pitching in with the needed chow to feed the whole entourage, we are preparing a jambalya, a nephew is grilling some steaks and I'm sure large quantities of the brew variety will be consumed since no one is going to travel anywhere afterwards.
Merry Christmas to All

after everyone had their fill of chow I sat down with my sis in law and my 2 nephews and their wife and girlfriend and I taught them how to play Booray.
while others watched the ball game.

Christmas has come and gone again, as usual, We roasted a 14 lb. bird. All the trimmings, salad, mashed potatoes, veggies, cranberry sauce, ziti, eggplant parm, squash & apples, turnips, oysters...brownies, pumpkin pie, apple pie, cherry pie, Christmas cookies....
The outlaws and extended family called and asked if they could join in.
I figured they bring something, and as usual, they did!
