Tom, you really should take a BMW RT out for a test ride. I know that you'd like that type of sports tour. Fairly upright ride position, completely intuitive controls, and you just look where you want to go and your going there. Not overly sporty or fast, but it makes up for that everywhere else. 2009-2012 RT are all pretty much the same. 2013- they all share similar factory equipment but the motor jumps from a 1200 to 1250, and I think now a 1300 motor. The 1200's are air-cooled, 1250's are liquid. 1200 has a dry clutch and the 1250 a wet clutch.
