Riding This Weekend?
Are you riding or watching football today?
I've got a son in from out-of-town, so I'm staying around the house this weekend & not riding.

Re: Riding This Weekend?
Rode a bit yesterday, had a good time. Super nice day again today as well. Nothing keeping me at home, so I'll be riding again when it gets too hot to stay indoors

Football and family time for me. Warming up this week again, so I'll ride to work all week.
Football season, weather permitting, I just ride a little in the morning before the games.

I hope this turns out to be a late summer and we continue getting good weather for a while. The days are getting shorter now and the mornings are getting cooler, but so far the temps during the day are still great for t-shirt riding, my favorite kind.

One good thing about Florida, you can t-shirt ride in January a lot of times. :big grin:

Re: Riding This Weekend?
In the Tampa area, nights can get in the low 30's on a real cold night, but typically 40's and 50's are the norm at night during winter. Definitely not t-shirt weather at night, but daytimes average in the 70's and even low 80's during winter. Summer days are mid 90s (brutal) and nights are upper 70's low 80's. Very humid with lots of rain and lightning. Spring and fall are the best. T-shirt days and light jacket at night. Motorcycling is a year-round thing here. No snow.

Re: Riding This Weekend?
I haven't seen or been to a football game in years. I have never been to a pro game and went to my first pro BB game (finals game 5) this year. So I would have to say if I do either of those two it will be riding. :smoke:

That is some nice weather for winter lol.
Here in AR it gets down to 20 degrees or so on a cold day and usually doesn't get above 45 or so.

Most days are as I described, but there are exceptions. I can deal with the heat a lot better than the cold.

Re: Riding This Weekend?
Wish we had heat most of the year here. As it is, to ride around here we need to be used to the cold & heat. Oct./Nov. it's cold until March. I don't want to just ride for 6 months, so I wear cold gear & ride on.
If it's above freezing & dry, I'm riding. I know some who ride in colder weather than I do, that's fine. I just don't like riding to work below freezing because I don't know if it will be dry when I get off, & below 32 & wet = ice. I try to avoid ice whenever I can.

Re: Riding This Weekend?
I had a friend in high school that rode a 305 Honda to school one day. He was the only one to drive to school that day because of the snow. Last I heard he was nuts. Of course we thought that back in school.
