The Bronx Mistery box

Post by YoDude »

So, as some may already know, I bought a Cobra seat from Bronx a while back. Almost or even a month ago it was even.
Sorry it's taken so long to get to this, but I've been tied up with the board since the box arrived, devoting almost every minute to the site. The box had been sitting in the backseat of my car all this time and this last Sunday, I decided it was finally time to tackle the project.

Now, I understand you may think installing a seat shouldn't be considered a project and that's quite true. The project was.....How to get the box OPEN!

This box was SO covered with tape it was completely unbelievable. I have never seen anything like it before. You don't believe me do you. HA! Well, I have proof! I had made mention of this on IA when the box arrived and NAV or SOMEONE, decided to put my (quite humorous) post out in the general section and I thought it was REAL odd that after I posed the question as to why he had done that, the next day, was when the IA crash of August 2014 occurred. That crash, for those that may not know, is what inspired THIS site and the reason it was created!

Okay, so now guilty of hijacking my own thread, I'll get back on topic.

This box could have been used as a floatation device for an aircraft carrier! It would survive a typhoon, tornado, deep water "black box" salvage operation or anything else. Here's a few shots of it.....
Image

This thing had a, "skin" on it tougher than a rhinoceros hide.....
Image

From side to side.....
Image

To side.....
Image

And end to end.....
Image
Image

There wasn't even a single millimeter of exposed box to be found, anywhere! I was amazed!
I know you probably won't believe this, but I actually examined the box quite carefully and I could NOT find a single end of tape anywhere! It was crazy.

So after looking at this box and a few beers later, I decided I'd have to come up with a plan of attack to get this thing open. A simple box cutter just wasn't going to do it because it would just dull out after the first three inches, so I brought out the BIG GUNS!.....
Image

HAHAHA! Results!.....Or so I thought.....Not only was this thing put together like a Chinese puzzle bow, IT WAS BOOBY TRAPPED!
An OMG layer of even more TAPE!!!!
Image

I was NOT going to be daunted by this. I had gone too far to turn back now, so......I started to dismantle the trap and........This EXPLODED in my face! I shit you not fellow brothers and sisters. Out it came!
Image
I almost dropped my beer and fell on my ass.....

But, after the smoke cleared a bit, I could see through the lurking fog....a semblance of my desire.....
Image

Though, still a little scatterbrained after the explosion and after the smoke was completely cleared, I finally found it!.....THE PRIZE!.....
Image

At this point I started looking at my lady friend just sitting there (chuckling, the whole time by the way she was) and when I did she said, "Um Yo?" I said, "Yes", "Um what are you doing?". Well I said, "Nothing you need be afraid of my love." She responded, "Are you going to have your way with me?" Well, what can a guy say to that, right? "Yes dear", I said. Mari, questioned me, "Is it going to hurt?" "Well of course not my love, I wouldn't do anything that would ever cause you and pain or suffering. Only, give you gifts to make you more beautiful and appealing." To my surprise and without ANY hesitation she stated, "Well then, SOCK IT TO ME BABY!"

With that, I removed the stock seat and Mari said, "You KNOW!, I love it when you undress me from the bottom up?" I'm just like, glaghala gyehyaalaa, If you like it baby, it's good for me too!
Image

I was thinking she might be upset with this change in her appearance, but she was NOT! After tickling her, "fun place" she was well warmed up.....
Image

She just couldn't stop looking in the mirror when I was done with her and she did have a nice glow about her afterwards!.....
Image
Image
Image
Image

Guess I won't be needing these parts anytime soon!.....
Image

...She always thought they cramped her style a bit.

THANKS BRONX! Love ya Brother!

I think anyone who's ordered anything from Bronx knows... you never have to worry about shipping damage. I think he spends more on packing tape and bubble wrap then he does on shipping. :lmao: Takes you a while to find it, but what you ordered is in there. :lmao:

The seat looked to be brand spanking new with absolutely no sign of usage that I could see. So, I'm thinking it's not been broken in yet.
All I can really say at this point is, it is a different feel and is a little stiff. I'm hoping that stiffness will work itself out. It's not as wide as the stock seat but that doesn't matter much because I don't have an ass anymore anyway. I've only gotten about 30 miles on it so far so I can't really offer much more than that. This coming weekend is going to be another burner weekend so I'll get more miles on it then. I don't have anything negative to report. I do like the looks!

I loved the way my cobra looked. But the ol' lady wanted comfort so we got the Corbin duel tour.

You'll like it when it gets broken in. Now, the lady friend? That could be a different story after some time on it. You'll just have to get her a bike of her own, right?

Yo... That was AWESOME!!! You've got some writing skills brother! haha. I couldn't stop laughing, eyes got teary.. haha. Then you got to talking about your Lady friend.. lol.. had me goin there bro! lol. I hate having postal accidents. lol. So I do wrap em up good.. haha. ;)
I think I mentioned it might need breaking in because it was brand new.. I think some thread on IA had mentioned someone putting something with weight on stock seats that needed to be broken in.. when not being ridden. Dunno if it helps or not but give it some time to get loose. She is lookin sexy though! Ride safe brother; Love ya!
