Slight restructure...

Post by YoDude »

In an effort to make navigation a little easier, I have unlocked the general area and move all the posts from the everyday chitchat area to the general section. Chitchat will be deleted shortly. A little less clicking to get around won't hurt anything. I hope you find it a little more convenient.

Not sure what you mean exactly, move them out of the general section and put 'em out on the main page? I had them out there originally, but want to keep the main page as uncluttered as possible.

So, you're saying move ALL the sub forum content to the general section?

Hmmm.....might cause public outcry...How about, move the MuVids out to the main page, to keep that content contained or leave it here as a sub forum and then release the hounds on the rest? I think the MuVids is kind of needing to not be placed in the general mix of individual threads.

Anyone else care to comment on this?

Oh yeah, and the recipes too. Else they'll just get lost in time.

If you're asking for opinions, here's mine.

I like what you've done with moving Chit Chat into the General Forum.

But please, please, please keep a subforum for the Politics & Religion. I don't have any desire to read any of that, & having those in their own subforum, I am able to by-pass all threads related to those topics. The way you have it currently set up is very useful to those of us that don't want to participate in those topics.

And no, you can't always tell the content of a thread by reading the title.

I think DM has a very valid point and is why I kind of resist putting all the political and faith stuff in the mix of just general topics. They are specific in nature and I think should have their own places. For the same reason the Tech section is broken up into sub forums considering different model bikes, different topics, I think should have a place of their own as well.

As far as the general section is ATM, I think it's a sound way to structure the board, at least for now.

My question is, "What the heck did you do?" I was lost there for a second. Oh never mind that is what this thread is all about. :lmao: I like it, for now, just the way it is.

When the Gen had all the sublinks under it I just clicked on the daily chit chat link. Save a click. But this seems okay once you get used to it.

It saves a click and I've done it like you John, just go to the forum I wanted by clicking on it, but it did occur to me, after MC, I think, mentioned it, that the EDCC forum was actually kind of useless. At the time, I did it that way to use the General section as a container for everything else, which worked, but was really unnecessary.

I thinks it's a little better now.
