Photobucket sucks...alternatives?
So for years I have been storing pictures in Photobucket. It seems in the last year or so they are running out of money and the site is nothing but ads. It crashes and hangs all the time. You used to be able to download YOUR own pictures again too, but now they have them hostage and if you want them in the original resolution you have to pay for them.
This really SUCKS because I have hundreds of pictures there. At the time the only way to post to IA was from a source like Photobucket; you could not post a picture from your computer.
What do others use to post/store pictures? Hell I can't even login to Photosucket right now....

Cool. Thank you. I just signed up on Dropbox. Tonight at home I will download and start uploading some pictures.

Re: Photobucket sucks...alternatives?
All of my currently online images are stored there. I strictly use the "Direct link" button to copy the link to the clipboard, then use the Img button to insert the tags into the edit window, right click, paste, post, done!
Very easy.

imgur (http://imgur.com/) works well also. Image tags are embedded in the url. One simple paste.

The one I mentioned also allows you to do it with one paste with the tags embedded.tc1400 wrote:imgur (http://imgur.com/) works well also. Image tags are embedded in the url. One simple paste.

The best way to ask these questions, is to post them in the suggestion box forum....scroll down if you need to.cheapcookies wrote:Well, first I have to try out the image posting here:
Next I tell you I don't use a public picture hosting site, I use my own dotcom.
Ooh, I like the preview better than the coldfusion board. And that's the Scout I tried out a week and a half ago. That's my helmet on the seat.
So, what thread do I post old IA screenshots in, anyway?

P.S. Let it be be quite known here and now. I have or harbor no ill will or thought of ANYONE that comes here unless they violate the Prime Directive!

I use tinypic.com I know it is part of photobucket so I don't have any idea how long it will stay free.

What looks real? My 800 went over 100,000 miles and that is the pic I took of the speedo when it happened.
