Oh don't get me wrong there Keith, I think it's a cool thing indeed. I was just pointing out the obvious. Now there was another craft that was made some number of years ago that was actually practical. Shaped in a circle and powered by fans, the 'saucer' used vertical take off, capable of speeds of 200mph IIRC. No runway required! Similar to this one, but this wasn't the actual one.

....But because you work 12 hour shifts, your paycheck is probably a lot sweeter looking than mine, if you work 5 day weeks that is. Now, while $24/hr ain't exactly chicken feed, it's not nearly what I should be making for the stuff I do at work, especially for the area I work in. I'm actually not far from the poverty level considering the high rent and the general cost of living here, but it's where the work is, so I stick it out here. I love my job where I'm working now and I wouldn't trade it for any other. What would make me super happy though, is if the company moved down to San Diego as, at least down there, I could ride my bike to and from work nearly every day and then I'd be a real happy camper.

I just did the math again. The current pay stub (from today) shows I took home 72%, but this is the 3rd check of the month, so it didn't have any insurance deductions, just the standard US taxes.

The check before was 68%. The one before that was 69%. I'm gonna say that is now my average - 68-69% take home of gross.
