Sleepless Night

Post by MadCow »

So last night was out on the eastern shore of Maryland in the RV (pretending like I'm camping) and ended up being kept up all night with 40-50mph wind gusts rocking that RV. I don't think anyone slept.

That doesn't sound like fun. I take it you're home again now?

It was both. I brought my bow with me to get some stand time in Saturday morning. Saw a really nice doe just outside my bow range. :bang:

It sucks you didn't get any sleep last night, but it does sound as though you probably had some fun trying to take home a prize. That's always fun.

Yeah, it's always fun being in the woods. I'm going back out weekend of the 15th. I'm the VP of my hunting club and I'll be there that weekend to supervise this years youth hunt which is like trying to herd cats...lucky for me it's a 1:1 adult child ratio..but it get's really hectic with trying to help out with all the harvests because they usually do well. Youth Hunts are usually quite successful because 1) they can use rifles before the main gun season is in, and 2) it's smack in the middle of rut...and if you've reached your 18th birthday by that day, you can only watch while those little bastards kill big bucks. :bang:

Aw, man. I feel for ya there. I know you just want to relax. I gotta go do wash, that'll keep me busy for an hour. I'll be back after, but I won't be expecting to see you. See ya later if you're here though.

Youth hunts use to be much tougher because the little bassturds had all that energy and were much faster. Now they all are lazy slugs hooked on video games. That makes them much easier to hunt. I set up a TV and game console about 50 yards from my stand. It brings them in, and it's not outlawed like feeding. :jester:
