I left last week for St. Louis to help my son pack to move to Brooklyn, New York. Rode down there & helped him pack. I was going to load my bike on the truck & ride to New York, help unload there & ride back to Kansas City.
Well, a change in plans.
The roomies who were going to fly didn't fly. Some roomies who didn't have any furniture had a lot of furniture. Long story short, there was no room for me, or my bike. I'm glad I was there to load the truck. It was loaded correctly, high & tight. & it was full to the end.
So I had a nice ride to & from St. Louis.
And I got my son off to New York. And now I'm home.
Did I miss anything around this crazy forum?

There will be a time where you will no longer be able to use, "But...I didn't know!", as an excuse. And if you're exiled from society, well, you were warned.

It's good everything went well and you got some miles in. The moving situations seem to always be like that. No matter what the, 'plan' is, it never works out the way it was planned. A friend of mine had to deal with such a situation just last week himself. What was supposed to be a trailer load, turned into three trailer loads. He was told everything was packed and ready to go. He gets there and nothing was packed. I'm just glad it wasn't me. LOL
The board has been slow. I can only guess people are off doing real life stuff. It's good to have you back

Welcome back. Nothing happened that you can't catch up by reading. Not many on the board so there shouldn't be a lot of posting of new stuff.

Well in the long run it may have been a blessing that things worked out the way that they did. Welcome back.

You are quite right. I had a nice time with my son. Got him packed & off to NY. And I got a nice round trip cross-state ride in. Weather out east turned out not as nice as I had hoped, so you're right PCC, it was a blessing how things worked out. :thumbup:PCC wrote:Well in the long run it may have been a blessing that things worked out the way that they did. I'm home earlier than expected, so I'm still taking the time off from work. I don't go back to work till Thurs.
