This is Crystal Hall the day before Veterans Day on the steps of the Utah Capital. She is an assistant debate coach at West HS and attends Weber State. You all know the drill, make her famous, and help her out of a job.

Using an apostrophe as you suggest would indicate possession, not plurality

Here is the Rule:

Regular nouns are nouns that form their plurals by adding either the letter s or es (guy, guys; letter, letters; actress, actresses; etc.). To show plural possession, simply put an apostrophe after the s. Rule 2b. Do not use an apostrophe + s to make a regular noun plural.

Burning the flag is a childish, misdirected, distasteful act, but unlike a lot of other people I would never support making it an illegal one. I like it when our enemies identify themselves. Let'em keep doing it. We need to know who they are. [emoji106]
