My neighbors are true low lifes

Even after being helped by the handicapped lady who let them move into her trailer at 1/3 the normal rent ($100 a month) and 1/2 the electric they have decided to screw her over by not paying her what they owe. So she put a lock on the door and they called the deputy out. After being told the full details of what was going on and how much they owed her he told her she couldn't just lock them out like she did without giving them a notice. That was when he was informed that she had given them a written notice to pay what was owed in 24 hrs or she would lock the door. She didn't get her money so she locked the door. I thought that was funny but the deputy wasn't laughing. (bummer)

Anyway he said by law she had to unlock the door and let them back in and go to the court house and file whatever to get an eviction notice. So the low lifes have the law on their side and they know it. I'd bet they have been thru this before.

I wonder if we can unplug the electric since they aren't paying it and the electric company will turn off your electric if you don't pay. I really want to call her son down to get him to tell them it is his trailer and they don't have his permission to live there and they have 4 hours to move or he moves the trailer with their stuff in it.

I learned long ago....NEVER let anyone just move in with you. Once they are in,...they are VERY difficult to get out.

my mother used to have a rental. More than once she had to evict someone. One time she actually had to rent another place to get them out.

I have no desire to have a rental.

The land lady should have checked with the local authorties before she decided to lock them out of her trailer, or as in this case her son's trailer...
That would have been the smart thing to do.... And Designer is right..once you let them in it takes an act of congress to evict them....whether they are paying the rent or not.
She will be lucky if they don't trash the place when they do move out....

They have no shame. He gets a disability check and food stamps, both equal to more than I get a month, but is broke within a week. Mostly likely spent on drugs.

Keith, she was told the proper and legal way to evict them by me 3 weeks before the door was locked. She chooses not to listen to me.

We can't now, the deputy already knows about us wanting to get rid of them. But if they should OD or get a hold of some bad drugs there's not much I can do. [space]

It's my experience folks of their type do get there's and all you have to do is be patient....in time they will move on and go mess up someone else's life.

I don't think they will move on by them selves. I'm afraid they will need a big hint from the courts. His dad is the one that told me to keep an eye on him and his wife when I first moved down here as they are nothing but thieves. I should have listened better.
