Why not fix the MH where it is? Then you could drive it where it needs to go.

Makes more sense than towing it.
I can't seem to win the lottery. I think I have used up all of my good luck riding motorcycles.

Guess you have a Dear John letter now.
No, all I have to do is get a membership, which I had to do anyway, get the van insurance switched over to the MH and buy a tag for it and then AAA will tow it the 95 miles from where it is to my house. I may have to put some fuel additive, fresh fuel and charged battery in it so it will idle. But AAA has said they with tow it up to 200 miles for free then.

If I could fix it where it is I would have already fixed it. :bonk:

I have pretty much nothing on this matter...

Other than after applying for a AAA membership for $113 if they refuse to honor the tow you're out that $113.

Is AAA offering "emergency" towing? If they are there shouldn't be any problems of what I can see...

you said it starts and runs ok until you put it in gear, then it dies, doesn't sound all that difficult to me. unless you did not tell us all of what is wrong with it. :bonk: :bonk: :bonk:

even if it cost a couple of hundred to fix, it would be less costly than a tow.

you can contact tow companies in your area about doing a special deal on a tow. if they are going to go out in the area that you want it moved to, to pick up a tow, you might be able to get it towed for almost nothing. I did that with a tow company and got a vehicle towed for less than 25% of the regular tow cost.

Herb, I know you are only trying to help and I appreciate it.

Yes, I said it starts, idles in Park and dies when put in gear. That is what I was told by the person I bought it off. I have never seen or heard it run so I have not seen it die when put in gear.

I have also talked to 5 tow companies and the cheapest was $500 to tow it 35 miles. I have no idea what a 95 mile tow would cost but I would guess it would be at least $700 or more. I don't have that kind of money since that is more than I draw from SS a month. :bang: That is why I asked AAA if they would tow a MH that has not been tagged in 5 or 6 years and was not running. :HatTip:
