Cell towers work on different technology than cell service. 921 kb/s is almost what the DSL company here offers. Satellite would be much faster and more reliable than Virgin. Virgin is owned by Verizon, that's what my late FIL had living in Durrant, OK and that was the only signal I could get when I visited. Depending on your area, you should get LTE (I did when I was in North Texas and around OKC). Perhaps you need a new wireless network adapter.
Sent from my Nexus 5. Don't worry iPhone, you'll get here, someday.
I'll try to explain this as plainly as I can.I am in a hole between two small hills surrounded by trees on the fringe area of the cell tower coverage for this area. We can not get over the air TV, radio or cell phone at this house. To make a cell phone call I have to walk 1/4 mile up the road until I am out of this hole and can get a signal from a cell tower. Why or how I get wireless internet is beyond me. All I know is that I am not suppose to get it. When (if) I get my MH I will get satellite internet for the same price I am paying for this crappy Virgin Broadband2Go.

For the last 5 years I have lived on the fringe or in areas that I am not suppose to get internet, but I manage to get wireless. I complained once about something and the answer I got was "But you're not even supposed to be getting any signal." So much for costumer service.
