Now that we have finalized that indeed riding across a bridge as being different than riding the same distance over a road that's land based.
Hey BlackToptravlr!,......When you go up to visit Yooper, did you take note of this?

I found it was worth the time.

Yes I did and it sounds like it would be worth the trip. I'm not so sure it would be something I would like to do late in the year to see the changing of the colors of the leaves. Especially that far up north as I'm not an Eskimo and I hate the cold especially on the bike.. :lolfall:

You can be sure if/when I make it up there it will be during the warmer months of late July or August maybe. I do want to go see Duluth once more and hopefully get a pic of one of the big ore ships coming into the harbor this time. [emoji106] I'd prefer it be one of the 1,000 footers also. But poor people like me can't be choosy we have to take what we can get when we can get it. :bonk:

Haven't decided yet where we are going this Friday through Sunday, maybe we will go ride a bridge since it's like riding a road

It's very much like riding on a road, I've never had a problem, long bridges, short bridges, grated bridges, and one 50 inches wide meant for ATV's whatever. Anyone afraid of bridges stay home or take a different route. I've had 5 or 6 visitors up here from downstate, both Wisconsin and Michigan. None have ever had a problem on the Mac bridge. WTF is the matter with you folks?

The last one up here to visit and bear hunt was was Longbow. Had a great time. He's dead now. Hated to get that news from his daughter.

I was just thinking about Johnny Longbow last week. One of our younger teacher's came down with lung cancer and it was real quick like Longbow. Damn shame on both counts. Sure do miss riding with the guy and his antics that made me laugh.
