Well...... we could organize (Retirees and the like) and arm ourselves with every conceivable weapon and suitable ammo at our disposal and head for our southern border. I found this interesting:

Justice: DOJ Issues Arrest Warrant for Kate Steinle Killer

After the surprise acquittal on Thursday of Jose Inez Garcia Zarate in the murder of Kate Steinle, the outrage from the right was overwhelming.

That sent President Trump to Twitter with a clear indication of his position on the result.

And not much later the DOJ responded in kind with hints that it considered the issue not yet settled.

Then yesterday, the agency made good on those hints by issuing an arrest warrant for Zarate. The constitutional protection against ‘double jeopardy’ applies only to American citizens.

What’s more, the federal government can throw the book at Zarate for multiple violations of law, not the least of which are his five instances of illegal immigration including multiple criminal convictions.

Just when you thought the sanctuary city debate was dying down, it’s raging once again.

I don’t “consider”, I just am. Conservative to the max. I could write a book and give you tons of credentials politically. But this is supposedly a motorcycle forum so I’ll respond as such. Since 1966 I have been in the epicenter of the Northern California motorcycle culture. A lot of outlaws, for sure, but solidly patriotic and many veterans and solidly blue collar working people and gun people. I invite you to visit the huge biker communities in Nevada side of California’s Sierras and you will quickly lose your ignorance. The same with the vast Siskiyou region north of Reading all the way to the Oregon border. I have lived on many occasions in various parts of Texas amongst biker and cowboy communities and was always accepted and never once asked stupidly if I was conservative or lib. I was accepted simply for who I obviously am even though The King has California plates.

Is that what you had in mind???
IS WHAT YOU JUST TYPED ABOUT THE BORDER WHAT I HAVE IN MIND? Fuck no, not even close. I didn’t even mention the freaking border so where do you get that? Dementia? Go back and read what I say about blue v red counties and hardly the first time I’ve presented it here. You stupid enough to go hang out on the southern border be my guest. I’ll stay amongst my own and protect my own in this pretty little community.

I use the terms street justice and holding court in the streets figuratively, folks taking law and justice into their own hands for whatever reasons, when the law is not enough and justice fails. However, they are terms and concepts that I doubt would be appreciated by country club polite society. It’s amazing how many comfortable citizens call themselves fiscal conservatives but at the same time refuse to take responsibility for their own survival or that of their family, friends, community.

Number uno- I never accused you of wearing women’s undergarments. Panties in a wad is an expression.

Number dos- I never said anything crude to you at all. I said we don’t want liberals from California. You said you aren’t one, so what I said doesn’t apply to you. You on the other hand have been slinging insults at me since my comment about libs from California which you said you aren’t. I never said anything to you about you or who you say you are, so yes, attacking me unprovoked makes you a dick.

Number Tres- I know California is beautiful and has good people in it. I don’t even know you or where you are from. You are getting defensive over nothing.

Let me throw this out, anyone that isn't a socialist needs to be figuring out how to get the hell out of mexifornia, while they are still alive and have a dollar left.

I left last year, could no longer afford to live there.
I can't seem to win the lottery. I think I have used up all of my good luck riding motorcycles.

Moved to California in 1966 from Florida after my release from the Army. What an exciting place to be young at that time! Lots of people and life have happened since then to fill my memories. To slightly rephrase a Jason Aldean song, “It left its mark on me, I left my mark on it”, and if I had to ID myself according to state I have to call myself Californian... that state and I are indelibly tattooed on one another. However... yes, sadly a However...

Moved to Upstate over five years ago to be with my mom and have been here since. Arrived homeless and badly in debt but worked hard and now own two homes, one I am giving to my son and that change in fortune has been a blessing. But another change sadly is that my mom has passed and so being with and caring for her no longer gives purpose in being here. All my life I have never lived in one place for over five years, the need to go has returned. However...

California. It is no longer in my heart to live there nor any place else on The West Coast. What a beautiful state and still so many brothers and sisters there. Arizona, Florida Panhandle, Georgia Alabama Tennessee South Dakota and West Texas are attractive, but I’ve a hunch that beginning next Spring the highway will be my home for a while with my dogs beside me in the truck and bike in tow. I will surely visit California to see wonderful people that I miss so much, but I don’t see ever calling it home again in whatever time and life I have left.

I have a lot of Chicano friends in California and that is not an issue. But I cannot live in a socialist environment which is what the state has become with the blessing of so many people. Idle hands are tools for the devil and there has become entirely too much of that in California. Not my kind of place. Any more. Sad.

The gun was "supposedly" under a chair wrapped in a t-shirt. His story of course, no way of proving that....
Also he "accidently" discharged it 3 times.....
This was the weapon stolen out of a Park Rangers car a week or so before he killed her. So with your thinking..... An illegal immigrant thrown out of the country 5 times and convicted of seven felonies prior to this incident would be very careful and not steal a gun or "accidently" kill anybody. Not only that, but the jury also acquitted Zarate of involuntary manslaughter which doesn't carry the burden of proving intent or the concept of motive. Gross negligence (firing a weapon in public 3 times) should have made the task of making involuntary manslaughter stick a walk in the park for a prosecutor facing an objective and reasonable jury.

I have read and heard that prosecution was weak in that liberal setting. I believe that.

For the life of me I can't figure out why the prosecutor didn't ask for a change of venue?!? No way this ILLEGAL was getting convicted in San Francisco. I know in the name of a "fair" trial a defense attorney can ask for a change of venue, can a prosecutor ask for the same??

That's possible. It's also possible that the jury was hand picked to acquit Jose regardless of the facts presented.
