Finally able to retire right with two pensions now and a second house escrow to keep funds available. That is just me and that doesn't count my better half's income. We should be fine.
Just hoping the health holds out to enjoy the fruits of labor. :putput:

Great news!!! Now make sure to ENJOY your retirement doing things you always wanted to do!
There will be a time where you will no longer be able to use, "But...I didn't know!", as an excuse. And if you're exiled from society, well, you were warned.

We are hoping to do some traveling with the bikes as well as warm winter relocation.

Start off the projects by getting the better half a sleeper to pull behind his Goldwing.
Found it in Ada, OK.
It is a concept we are making so will show final results when we are done.

Could not come up with double design yet so we will try this approach for awhile.

It even had his name on it.

If you find yourself working harder now than before retirement that is a good thing. You will be doing the work you want to for a change and it will keep you strong, alive, alert. And, oh yeah, play hard, too. Have fun. Ride On!

Great news. Janie retired last month but unfortunately we will have to wait awhile to travel as raising a 6 year old has grounded us. She also had some sort of seizure a couple of months ago while visiting our eldest son and family in the Houston area so she is grounded as far as driving and riding till at least Jan. I am working on the S83, going to put it up for sale after Christmas I guess, don't need 2 bikes and the C50T suits me fine. Good luck on the retirement, I'm sure you will enjoy it.

I retired last June, so far is sure beats working. But that isn't setting the bar very high!!

Congrats on yours starting next month. Hope you already applied for social security, takes 90 days...

Congrats PCC.
I retired once for about 3 months. Needless to say I got bored. The nice thing is that I am working but I can walk away at any time. To me that is what is best about my job. I work during the month's that aren't great, and I am off when the weather's best. Of course the down side is that I can't just take vacation any time I want.

Anyhow congratulations, enjoy!
